Review: Deever – ‘You Need This’

Filter the truth, design a you, and hope you satisfy them all”. Something the “Notification generation” can identify with. Ending on a high note with the one-two of ‘Jim’ and ‘I Am The Cavalry’, ‘You Need This’ continues to excite with it’s high levels of variation. ‘Jim’ is a high-gloss few minutes of power pop-punk (before everyone suddenly decided to be a weird Imagine Dragons/Twenty One Pilots shitshow mash-up), while ‘I Am The Cavalry’ is the groove-laden rallying call that the title suggests. At just under 40 minutes, ‘You Need This’ doesn’t hang around, but with the quality of the material, it doesn’t need to. Available February 1st, more information here. Review: Dave]]>
