SKAM release new single ‘Fade Out’ on 19th July

After hitting the UK rock chart at number 6 with their recent EP Intra, powerhouse UK hard rock trio SKAM keep the pedal down with second single ‘Fade Out’ from their impending second EP Venous.

‘Fade Out’ is the follow-up to recent single ‘Circles’, and will be released on the 19th of July through X-Ray Records on all digital platforms.

“‘Fade Out’ is a sh*t kicking power groove of defiance against politicians and those in power. The lies and deceit of those at the top is always felt by the working class and we wanted to call them out. This year in particular we have all felt the effects of poor leadership. Although the song isn’t about any leaders in particular, it is a feeling mirrored in the thoughts of many. Play it loud and proud and raise a middle finger to oppression!” – SKAM

ABOUT SKAM
Formed in 2011, SKAM are a hard rock power trio band from the middle of England. They have a reputation for delivering no-nonsense, gutsy, classic-sounding British rock music.

Over the last 9 years, the band have worked tirelessly to build a solid following in the UK. Now, they are considered to be at the forefront of the ‘New Wave of Classic Rock’ movement that is currently sweeping the nation.

To date,SKAM have independently released 3 albums, It’s Come to This (2011), Peacemaker (2014) and The Amazing Memoirs of Geoffrey Goddard (2017). With these releases, they established themselves as a live force to be reckoned with. The band have hit the road with The Answer, Airbourne, Skindred, The Quireboys, and GUN, to name just a few formidable live acts.

A drive to innovate inspired SKAM to release The Amazing Memoirs of Geoffrey Goddard (2017) – a concept record based on the diary entries of a time-traveling RAF pilot. The EP’s songs were described as ‘gritty anthemic rockers’ by Classic Rock Magazine, with the album receiving a number of 5-star reviews from the UK Music press.

SKAM don’t write songs to a formula, but as rock fans trying to capture what they would want to hear. Their single ‘Take it Or Leave it’ was voted as ‘track of the week’ by Classic Rock Magazine and has since been included on Earache Records’ ‘New Wave of Rock N Roll’ compilation vinyl. Their recent EP Intra hit the UK Rock Chart at # 6!
