Awaken I am are a four piece from Brisbane who play alternate rock with a little bit of punk attitude. If you are a fan of Dead Letter Circus or Closure in Moscow then this band is for you.
Awaken I am have recently completed their debut album entitled, ‘Shields And Crowns’. The album itself went straight in at #17 in the Australian Album Charts, bringing the band a whole new host of fans. They toured this album in mid January 2016 and those who saw them perform, particularly at the Engima, got a great show. Awaken I am have toured relentlessly since they formed. Releasing five singles from ‘Shields And Crowns’, they played Japan and toured Australia three times! They have also supported Dream On Dreamer, Amity Affliction, Parkway Drive and In Hearts Wake. There’s no doubt that this band has the energy and the commitment to go a long way.
Internationally, the band have a significant following which continues to grow from the band’s ethic to push harder and farther. There are no limits to Awaken I Am, and ‘Shields And Crowns’ is just the first stage of a very long and prosperous future.
