Hillbilly Vegas Announce July UK Tour & New single and Video

Hillbilly Vegas, the enigmatic, hard-working rock band from Oklahoma are back on the road again with their Long Way Back Tour.

They make a welcome return to the UK this Summer, following their first-ever bout of touring on these shores earlier this year. Jaw-dropping performances gained Hillbilly Vegas rave reviews and a host of new followers, eager to see Oklahoma’s finest grace our stages again.

“To be honest, we were shocked by the level of response on our first tour of the UK, from the fans of Luke Morley – who was a great and very friendly guy – and then at our own shows,” says frontman Steve Harris. “It was exciting that so many people bought tickets to see us. From the moment we arrived in the country we couldn’t have been made any more welcome. One of the greatest things was that we kept on seeing familiar faces every night, there were people that followed us around from town to town, city to city.”

The tour also included a spot for Hillbilly Vegas at Planet Rock’s Winter’s End Festival in Wales, which many chose as their highlight of the weekend.

Hillbilly Vegas are delighted to announce dynamic 4-piece hard rockers The Howling Tides as special guests on the July dates. They’ve built their reputation and momentum with some powerhouse releases and with high-profile festival successes. Planet Rocks verdict: “The Howling Tides are a gimmick-free band who play muscular rock delivered with brute force.” This USA / UK pairing will prove an irresistible cocktail of great new rock bands.

To celebrate the announcement of the UK ‘Long Way Back’ Tour, Hillbilly Vegas release their brand-new video of forthcoming single “Shake It Like a Hillbilly”.

Shake It Like a Hillbilly has been remixed by legendary producer Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, The Who, Bernie Marsden) and is set to be the soundtrack to your Summer. This good time banger is released on digital platforms on 26th April 2024.

Whether on stages big or small, Hillbilly Vegas have learned how to make every audience feel like an important part of the show. An accomplished frontman and keen raconteur, Steve Harris tells stories, reveals the inspiration about his songs, and where appropriate they throw in covers of material that played a part in developing the band’s sound. On the last tour it was Frankie Miller’s ‘Down The Honkytonk’, which fitted them like a glove.

Following their Long Way Back Tour this Summer, Hillbilly Vegas are already confirmed to return to the UK later this year. They will perform at Planet Rockstock and WinterStorm festivals as part of the touring for their forthcoming album.
