L.A. Edwards Unveils New Single ‘Comin’ Around’

Americana rockers L.A. Edwards have released a new single titled “Comin’ Around” from their forthcoming album Pie Town, out July 5th, 2024, on Bitchin’ Music Group, distributed by The Orchard / M.A.R.S. Worldwide.

After a whirlwind of sold-out tours with friends like Lucinda Williams, Rival Sons, and The White Buffalo, the band of brothers converged at Road End Studio in Seattle, Washington to record late last year.

“Comin’ Around” marks the third single ahead of the release of the album Pie Town, preceded by “Good Luck” and “Gone 4U“.  Listeners will notice a departure from the band’s previous, broodier album, “Out of the Heart of Darkness,” which received critical acclaim and a placement in Paramount Network’s hit TV show “Yellowstone” in 2023.

“Comin’ Around is kind of a white flag/cease-fire song. It’s about getting back to a place where you accept yourself or others after a long detour. It’s the final track on the album and one of the more hopeful narratives of Pie Town,” states frontman, Luke Edwards.

The track opens with a single, crunchy electric guitar that swiftly merges with an anthemic wall of sound, inviting the listener up to some internal promontory to view the vast landscape of their own lives with a new perspective. There is a sense of surrender and relief, a feeling of homecoming, even as the journey to the threshold continues.

Pie Town, an homage to Luke’s small hometown in the California desert, will mark the band’s 4th studio album, and the second to feature Edwards steadfastly at the helm of his own production. A family band, the record features brothers Jesse and Harrison Edwards. Luke describes this record as the group’s most expansive endeavor yet, integrating new instrumentation like synths, which could now position them sonically in an open frontier, somewhere between the realms of Tom Petty and The War on Drugs.

Luke, one of seven siblings, boasts a large family and is often accompanied by his wife, Starr, and children on tour. The Edwards family is involved in the latest video for Comin’ Around too, which features Luke’s eldest son Skip. The tight bond and frenetic energy of a traveling family band, coupled with a laid-back, down-to-earth attitude, make for a raucous, yet good-natured spectacle on the road.

Following the album’s release on July 5th, 2024, L.A. Edwards will embark on a headline UK/European tour, bringing their electrifying live show to France, The Netherlands, Germany and England, with now new dates added in Sweden in July.

“The people in Europe really seem to get what we’re doing. Every time we come back we feel this electricity and I’m excited to get to share the new record with them first. Plus the late nights with new friends, pizza and champagne are a big motivator.” states Luke.

Luke and his brothers are always searching for ways to expand their musical boundaries. Their bohemian lifestyle has given L.A. Edwards a voice and story that are authentic, powerful, and instantly endearing. Proteges of the Tom Petty camp, a radio DJ described the band’s sound as, “Eagles-esque brothers’ harmony, Stonesy guitar weaving, the melancholy of Jackson Browne, and the working-class optimism of Petty himself.” (88.5FM)

“Pie Town is the next step down the Heartland trail for us – it’s a collection of songs about my experiences over the past few years addressing the reticence to “grow up” and all the bulls**t that comes with that loss of innocence. Recorded here in Seattle, it reflects our most expansive and explorative instrumentation. I’m excited for this album, stay young my friends.”

The new album will be released July 5th, 2024, worldwide by Bitchin’ Music Group via The Orchard and Mars Label Group in Europe.
