KING KING’S NATIONWIDE UK TOUR STARTS MAY 12 WITH SPECIAL GUEST DAN PATLANSKY
Award-winning Blues Rock band King King embark on their nationwide 8-date UK tour at the Manchester Academy on Thursday May 12. Special guest on all dates is South African Blues rock sensation, guitarist and singer-songwriter Dan Patlansky.
Having scored three radio hit singles on Planet Rock with the songs Crazy, Hurricane and Rush Hour, and a recent nomination for Best New Band at this year’s Classic Rock Awards, King King are the British blues rock band of the moment. Their current album, Reaching for the Light, has been championed by dozens of music magazines including Classic Rock, The Blues, Guitarist, Blues Matters, Blues in Britain, and many more. The band toured UK arenas earlier this year when they supported Thunder. Dan Patlansky; the South African blues rock guitarist and singer-songwriter, whose Dear Silence Thieves album was voted No. 1 on Blues Rock Review’s Top 20 Blues Rock Albums of 2014, is King King’s special guest. Fresh off his UK and European tour with Joe Satriani, and one of Classic Rock magazine’s hotly tipped new artists of 2015 to watch out for, Patlansky’s last studio album, Dear Silence Thieves received rave reviews. He opened for Bruce Springsteen in front of 64,000 people at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg in February 2014. His new album Introvertigo is released on Friday May 6.
