Following their highly successful debut EP I., Angel Number’s sophomore EP II. continues the world-building of its predecessor whilst shifting to a vaster, more open-ended sound that conjures up images of utopias with sinister undertones with its warbly analog synthesisers and modulated guitars setting the scene for the emotional and energetic vocals.
While thematically the songs discuss the importance of one’s choices as the blinders of urban claustrophobia are off this time and a rebirth is due; Sonically, the EP pushes boundaries and blurring genres, evolving the established sonic theme of electronica meeting alternative rock with a post-punk sensibility, drawing inspiration from a broad range of genres blending elements of shoegaze, new wave and pop.
As the two EPs weave around each other, mirroring and subverting each others’ themes, they follow a change in mindset that opens a new path ahead for the band and the listeners alike.

Biography:
Hailing from the North of England, Angel Number are a genre bending five-piece ready to make an indelible mark on the UK music scene. Blending elements of shoegaze, alternative rock, new wave, electronica and pop, they created a distinct sound whilst exploring themes of shadow work and all things metaphysical through their lyrics and imaginary. The backdrop of the early 2020s informed their initial, fearless experimentation and led them to a time of seclusion to craft what was to become their latest musical outpour in form of their highly successful debut EP I., and the latest singles ‘Omen Of The Night’ and ‘The Calice’ off of their forthcoming EP II. which is out on 23rd May. The influence of modern cinema, specifically the psychological thriller niche popularised by A24, bleeds into their work by way of sound design and unique world building. Listening to their music feels like being stood in front of a monument, taking in its intricacies and tiny details that form a larger-than-life image.
Morphed together from previous projects, their impressing musical journey so far has not only gained them a lot of attention and support within the British Rock scene from the likes of Kerrang!’s Alex Baker, Daniel P Carter’s BBC Radio1, Alyx Holcombe, Rock Sound and Alt Press, but also saw them supporting bands such as Holly Fawn and Movements, as well as securing themselves a slot at The Great Escape Festival.
This has just been the start for the band. Planning to unleash some of their most refined work to date upon the world soon, and promising an engaging and unique live show, it is no wonder that Angel Number are one of the most exciting rising bands in the UK to look out for right now.
