THE LAZYS return with Rattle Them Bones; first single in 5 years

Shake, rattle, and roll! Affable Australian rabble-rousers THE LAZYS are back with a vengeance, releasing the rollicking ‘Rattle Them Bones’, their first new single in five years. Chockful of the boisterous joy their fans love, the single is available on all digital platforms today.

Vocalist Leon Harrison declares, “We have some exciting news to share with you! The Lazys are back! ‘Rattle Them Bones’ embodies our band’s trials, tribulations, and resurrection through the pandemic and its aftershock. It was spawned out of frustration during the pandemic, while navigating our way back to what we do best, rockin the stage!

It’s been 5 years since we’ve released new music, and we promise that this track has been worth the wait. It’s got screaming guitar riffs, monster drums… it’s everything you’d expect from The Lazys and more.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support, we can’t wait to share this next rockin’ chapter with you.”

The track was co-written and produced by long-time collaborator Ian D’Sa of Billy Talent. Listen to ‘Rattle Them Bones’ here.

ABOUT THE LAZYS

A wise man once said it’s a long way to the top if you want to rock ‘n’ roll. If you’re THE LAZYS, it’s more like a long way across two continents and the world’s largest ocean. It was on Canadian soil these Australian rockers made waves by blasting the roof off Canadian Music Week in 2014 with 3 shows in 24 hours, capturing the attention of prominent booking agent Ralph James, who signed them on the spot, as well as Billy Talent guitarist Ian D’Sa, who then collaborated on singles ‘Shake It Like You Mean It’ and ‘Black Rebel’ both of which reached the Top 10 at Active Rock Radio.

After years of hard work and hundreds of shows, the band hit the studio and in 2018 emerged with album Tropical Hazards, a hellraising rock ‘n’ roll riot produced by Ian D’Sa (Billy Talent) and Eric Ratz (Big Wreck, Danko Jones, Monster Truck). Ten belters that are unabashedly outrageous, packed with classic songs about wild nights, pretty girls, heartbreak, and resilience but are never too cliché. The record spawned the singles ‘Little Miss Crazy‘, ‘Nothing But Trouble‘, and ‘Half Mast Blues‘, and sent them criss-crossing Canada and Europe in a balls-out ascent to become one of the most talked about live acts wherever they took the stage. Selling out shows and performing at major festivals including Wacken, Ramblin’ Man, Bloodstock, and Summer Breeze, they amassed an army of fans in every country they set foot in.

It’s been a tumultuous few years for the band who were really just getting things going, when the pandemic hit and steamrollered all their plans. Clawing their way back now in 2023, the new track only serves to emphasize THE LAZYS raw power and bloody-minded determination. Post-pandemic, expect to see a lot from THE LAZYS… the new era of rock ‘n’ roll has begun!
