Scarlet Rebels: New Single – ‘London Story’

Welsh rock band Scarlet Rebels have released a brand new gritty anthem ‘London Story’, the latest track to be taken from forthcoming album See Through Blue out 28th January 2022 via Earache Records. Listen to the track here.

‘London Story’ sees an epic, soaring rock riff alongside jagged, punctuated rhythm in this twisted love story. Through the track, frontman Wayne Doyle runs with See Through Blue‘s central theme of not taking everything as it seems, having previously voiced that he believes it’s healthy to question

Doyle comments: “‘London Story’ is a love story that holds a dark twist to it – it’s Romeo and Juliet romance set in the cold shadows of wintry London. In the end, Juliet walks free away from the toxicity that Romeo burdened her with, and it’s Romeo who walks into tragedy. It shines an interrogatory spotlight on toxic relationships. People often show the very best of their relationships online – I always wonder what lies beneath the surface.”

Scarlet Rebels’ previous singles from See Through Blue, ‘Storm’ and ‘Take You Home’, further this notion of looking beneath the surface, aiming to scrutinize icons of deceit and treachery (an approach that the head-turning album cover for See Through Blue bolsters), whilst offering sanctuary in the music community.

And it’s through this music community that Scarlet Rebels – completed by lead guitarist Chris Jones, second guitarist/keyboard player Josh Townshend, bassist Wayne ‘Pricey’ Esmonde and Wayne’s brother, drummer Gary Doyle – want to make a real difference. The band are collecting for local food banks at their headline shows, and those unable to attend their shows are welcome to donate approved items via grocery delivery services like Deliveroo. More information can be found here.

Scarlet Rebels’ headline album tour commences on 20th January 2022 through to 12th February 2022. Full tour dates can be found below.

See Through Blue is currently available to pre-order – signed editions, limited edition colour vinyl (red/green/purple), special merch bundles, plus a rare ‘alternative artwork’ version with blue cover and vinyl are all available from while stocks last.
