Review: Eat Defeat – 'Time And Tide'

“Time is all I’ve got, and I’m not gonna waste it”. Hardcore positive vibes! “The North Remembers’ made me think of taking chances in life, and not living in fear… then regretting not taking the chance when it was there. “We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it”. Rounding out ‘Time And Tide” we have ‘Dead And Gone’… Personally, the feelings I got from this track are simply a couple of questions… Will we be remembered once we are gone? Have we done enough to be remembered? More reflection seems to be the key to this track, and this whole EP. Deep stuff! I really enjoyed this EP – It is really energetic and upbeat, with an excellent slice of pop-punk, exactly as it should sound! I loved the positivity beaming from Eat Defeat. What a breath of fresh air! Reflection was a definite key aspect in the making of ‘Time And Tide’. Raw emotional experiences, reflected through passion. Eat Defeat are a band to keep an eye on for the future of pop-punk! Definitely one for fans of The Story So Far, Less Than Jake, Blink 182, and ROAM. Review: Carol Black]]>
