DELILAH BON announces “Live In Leeds” – A live album of music, solidarity and action

DELILAH BON has announced the release of Live in Leeds, a live album capturing a powerful night of music, community and solidarity, while giving US fans who missed her cancelled tour the chance to experience the show.

DELILAH had been due to embark on a US tour Spring this year but cancelled the dates as violence surrounding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) escalated, believing it was no longer safe for her team or fans to travel and attend the shows.

Instead, DELILAH brought that energy home. The Leeds show became a night of music, solidarity and fundraising, raising £8,000 for organisations supporting people affected by ICE, including The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, the ACLU and The Bond Between providing resources, legal advice and advocacy, animal rehoming and families affected by detention and immigration enforcement.

The Live in Leeds album continues that work while allowing DELILAH to share the experience with the US fans who were unable to see her perform.

Speaking about the release, DELILAH says:

“It was such an incredible night, and after having to cancel the US tour, I really wanted to find a way to share that experience with the fans who were meant to be there. Hearing my Bon Bon’s screaming the words back at me, in solidarity with marginalised people everywhere, was so incredible. I’m so proud that we were able to raise £8,000 and I really hope we can raise even more through the album and vinyl. It feels really important to be able to share this moment with the people who missed out.”

The Leeds show demonstrated the strength of the community DELILAH has built around her music. Her fans, affectionately known as the Bon Bons came together to celebrate the music and stand in solidarity with people facing fear and repression.

For the first four weeks following release, 100% of digital streams and downloads will be donated to US charities supporting people affected by ICE.

A special edition coloured double vinyl will also be available to pre-order, with 25% of profits donated to charity.

What began as a difficult decision to cancel a US tour has become a permanent record of a night where music, community and collective action came together, while giving the fans who missed out a chance to finally be part of it.
