CJ Wildheart, a founding member of the legendary British rock band The Wildhearts, is releasing his latest single, “You Got The Best Part Of Me”, on 28th March. The single blends his signature infectious vocal melodies, with upbeat guitar hooks and punk energy, offering fans a taste of his new solo album SLOTS, his sixth solo studio album. SLOTS is also scheduled for release on 28th March.
“You Got The Best Part Of Me” sees CJ deliver two and a half minutes or pure punk delight, with sing along choruses, vocal harmonies, frenetic drums and edgy punk guitar work. It’s proof that CJ was always the punk rock heart of the Wildhearts and will be immediately accessible to fans of the band or classic British punk.
CJ Wildheart said, “You Got The Best Part Of Me is a punk rock song that’s saying when you love someone or something, you should try and give the best part of yourself to the object of your affection.”
The album SLOTS is CJ finding his mojo and coming back strong after an emotional year of personal challenges. It tells the story of the gambles taken in life and has been produced with long-term collaborator and friend Dave Draper (Terrorvision, They Fell From The Sky), and with Jason Bowld (Bullet For My Valentine) on drums.
The official release date of SLOTS is March 28th 2025, with the album available on CD and Vinyl from https://cjdevilspit.com/. The digital version of SLOTS is available now from Bandcamp. All physical pre-orders of the album will also receive a free digital download.
CJ Wildheart will tour the UK in May 2025, supporting Michael Monroe, who rose to fame with Hanoi Rocks. Other dates to be announced.
