Thieves Of Liberty announce new single – Sweet As Today

‘SWEET AS TODAY’ is the second single from Thieves of Liberty’s hotly anticipated album ‘Shangri-La’. It’s a feel-good rock anthem with a driving beat, jolly and intricate guitarwork, and a catchy vocal hook that will play on loop in your head for months! The single is accompanied by a video shot at the recent FireVolt Festival in Stockport.

Guitarist Liam Lindsley states:

“We wrote ‘Sweet As Today’ just before we all went to Ibiza together last year and it basically became the soundtrack to our holiday! We couldn’t get it out of our heads the entire time we were there and now every time the sun comes out, we can’t help but stick the track on and enjoy listening to it with a pint and an ice cream!”

The band’s other guitarist Kieran Wilson said:

“The song is so much fun to both play and listen to, it always just puts me in a good mood as soon as the riff kicks in. Music which can evoke any form of emotion I think is incredibly important, so that made this one a standout track for me. Also, Liam’s solo is one of my favourites!”

The full-length album is Thieves of Liberty’s best work to date by some distance. The collection of songs is incredibly diverse and yet the quality is consistent; you’ll be dancing, singing, crying and headbanging as you take the journey to Shangri-La.
