Sons of Liberty bring the party with…‘Tertulia Time’. The Sound of Summer 2024 releases on Friday 12th July
The UK’s own Southern Rockers, Sons of Liberty will release their summer single ‘Tertulia Time’, accompanied by a live action video, from the hot new album ‘The Detail Is In The Devil’.
The band will also play 2 limited co-headline shows in July with USA Southern Rockers Preacher Stone ahead of both bands appearing at Maid of Stone Festival where the Sons will perform a VIP
Acoustic set. Tickets for all the shows are available here: www.sonsoflibertyband.com/shows
The band said of the new single, “‘Tertulia Time’ is a party song, inspired by warm nights under the stars with friends around an open fire, talking about everything, sometimes nonsense, a little drunk, a few songs and a lot of laughing. The Spanish name felt right with the warmth of being with good friends and the uplifting feel of the music.”
Tertulia is a Spanish/Spanish American word for a social gathering with literary or artistic overtones. For the Sons it is party time!
The single is the latest from the new album ‘The Detail Is In The Devil’, hailed by many in the rock press as The Album of the Year 2024 and gaining the band a ‘ones to watch’ feature in Classic Rock Magazine, this is the first album to feature Russ Grimmett fronting the band. He has been welcomed with open arms by fans on the live circuit – the band have a freshness and drive that will see them lifted to the next level. Sons of Liberty are Russ Grimmett, Fred Hale and Andy Muse (Guitars), Mark Thomas (Bass), and Steve Byrne (Drums). Their first album ‘Animism’ dropped in 2020, and the follow-up ‘Aces & Eights’ landed the following year. The band have already performed with acts like Preacher Stone, FM, Grand Slam, and Molly Hatchet, Sons of Liberty can
hold their own on any stage.
Classic Rock Magazine said of the album, “…the band power through 11 barnstorming tracks like their lives depend on it…. High impact rock’n’roll, plain and simple”. Sons of Liberty themselves
describe ‘The Detail Is In The Devil’ as “forever music”, and it’s hard to disagree.
