PISTON added to Roadstars October 2019 Tour

www.planetrocktickets.co.uk, www.thegigcartel.com and from the 24-Hour Box Office: 0844 478 0898. The tour also includes American blues rock guitarist Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin Stones, who Joe Bonamassa describes as “a kaleidoscope of blazing guitars and searing vocals,” plus Manchester rock band Gorilla Riot. Every night each band will alternate as headliners, giving them equal share of the limelight. Piston are a British five-piece rock ‘n’ roll engine made up of four members from the Midlands greased with a vocal roar from the south; which, when put together and fired up produce a no-nonsense sound not to be reckoned with! Piston will release their long awaited self-titled debut album on Friday 13th September 2019. The album is self-released with distribution by Music Glue. The 10-track album was recorded at Silk Mill Studios in Newcastle Under Lyme and produced by Dan Swift (Iggy Pop, Depeche Mode). Two bonus tracks, One More Day and Rainmaker were remixed by Romesh Dodangoda (Motörhead, Bring Me The Horizon). The upcoming album features the searing, infectious anthems — Blow It Away, One More Day and their current single, Rainmaker. The album is a rock n’ roll rollercoaster ride treading the fine line between chaos and radio friendly rebellious rock. It’s got the guitar spirit of the Cult and the hi-octane energy of the Foo Fighters. Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin Stones are fronted by a 21-year-old powerhouse guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. The South Carolina-born, Nashville-based artist who formed the band as an eight-year-old, has developed a powerful and sublime synthesis of guitar skills and makes it clear that the future is hers for the taking. Hannah has performed over 2,000 shows including festival appearances. Here, she digs in deep, hits hard, and crushes it. Her latest album is an aural kaleidoscope of blazing guitars and searing vocals, that establishes Wicklund as a triple-threat player, singer and writer in the same vein as Susan Tedeschi and the Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde. The album’s producer, Sadler Vaden, who’s also guitarist with Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, says, “Once we started writing some songs, I saw that she had a real, raw talent and had a love of classic rock music and blues. I wanted to honour that in making this album, but also add a little modern edge to it.” Gorilla Riot are a 5-piece dirty rock n’ roll blues machine from Manchester, England. They play raucous blues-based rock, combining elements of grunge, stoner and country to create a full-on high energy rock show. Created by frontman, Arjun Bhishma, he’s surrounded himself with the best talent in Manchester, creating a 3-prong guitar attack with multi-part harmonies. Featuring Arjun on lead vocals and guitar, Liam Henry (guitars, vocals), Charly T. (guitars, vocals), and James “Deggy” Degnen (bass). The band began song writing and soon entered the studio to record their debut self-titled album. This set them on their path to deliver their blues-drenched dirty sound that evolved into the acclaimed EP, Six Shots Down in 2017.
