Introducing UK Pop-Punk Outfit Look What Happened

Brighton pop-punk five-piece Look What Happened reveal their new EP, Weak Minds For The Weekend, on Friday 30th October, with their new single and video, Make It Real, arriving Friday 23rd October.

Formed in Brighton at the start of 2024, Look What Happened are Jamie Walker (Vocals), Ryan Hancock (Guitar), Billy-Joe Clark (Guitar), Joshua Taylor (Bass), and Jack Lowe (Drums). Their sound comes from the pop punk they grew up with, drawing on Blink-182, New Found Glory, Paramore, Lagwagon, Yellowcard, Stand Atlantic, and A Loss For Words.

What are the origins of the band, and how long have you been playing together?

Ryan, Jay, and Josh knew each other from college, and then Billy was neighbours with Ryan for a while, and then we met Jack online and kinda just slotted together after that. We started writing maybe a few years back but only got going with it a year or two ago after a few member changes.

What should people expect when they check the band out? How would you describe Look What Happened?

Heavy elements, pure pop-punk melodies,  punchy guitars, groovy rhythms, and gritty themes. Gloomy yet fast-paced and somehow cheery at the same time.

How did you feel performing your first gig as a band, and how was it?!

Absolutely terrifying; it’s something I’ve wanted to do again for a while and didn’t know how it would go.

You kind of just get into it after a while and forget where you actually are. Other than being pretty nervous, we carried ourselves well. We’ve definitely improved loooaaads though, it was an important opportunity to learn about letting go of doubts and losing yourself in the moment.

What are you working on at the minute that people can check out?

We’ve got 4 songs available everywhere to stream that came out last year. We have a brand new EP out 30th October; the single & music video come out 23rd October.

Regarding a similar audience, which band at the minute do you feel that you would be best suited to open for?

Maybe Neck Deep, The Story So Far, Blink?

Excluding yourself, which new band would you like to see break out and become a success?

Making Friends for sure, sick local band that put on their own festival every year. Banging songs & great people.

What frustrates you about the music business?

Jay:  0.0035p a stream 😂

Billy: AI in Music 🤮

What are your first musical memories? And what lightbulb moment made you say “I want to do that”?

Jay – I’d be lying if I said it was something “cool”, but my first live show was the boy band 5ive when I was a kid at Butlins haha.

They still hold a place in my heart.

I remember buying New Found Glory & Blink albums when I started getting pocket money. That and learning guitar was how I was brought into the world of rock/punk.

Billy: My lightbulb moment though, was when I sat down and watched Green Day’s ‘Bullet in A Bible’ DVD. I watched that religiously; that’s when it solidified that this was what I wanted to do. My first live show was Airbourne at the Astoria in London, and I loved it. Just the raw energy of it, and I dreamt of being on the stage after that.

Ryan: I shared a room with my older brother. He got me into the music I still love today. He started to try and play bass, and I decided I would play guitar. I stuck with it, he preferred game consoles 😂

What was the last gig that you attended as a fan?

Jay – Burn It Down Festival in Torquay. Loads of amazing bands, skating & wrestling. Had an awesome time.

Billy: Slam Dunk Festival 2026

What current social issues are you particularly passionate about?

Jay – Veganism & Environmental conservation. Eat the rich, fuck Reform, peace & love.

The album that you have in your album collection/Spotify playlist that would surprise most people?

Jay – Majid Jordan “A Place Like This”,  real dark rnb/electro/afters vibes.

Billy – Playlist-wise, ‘Country Coffeehouse’, love a bit of country. Also, I have a lot of meditation, classical, and chill stuff in there too, which I love

Everybody is a fan of something; who or what are you a fan of?

Jay – Cooking, Wrestling, Writing, Art.

Billy – Music dominates everything in my head personally, but I like the gym, socialising, reading, and video games in my downtime.

Ryan – Supporting a football team that doesn’t cheat, up the Albion!

What new music have you enjoyed so far this year?

Jay – No Pressure “NP style”

Billy- President ‘Blood Of Your Empire’

Ryan – Don Broco

What does the last part of 2026 hold for you?

Hoping to get a few more gigs in and around the coast after our EP  launch party on 6th November, then stay active into the new year promoting the new EP, and start on writing the next one!

We’d love to play some festivals and support bands anywhere, so hit us up if you read this haha!

How active are you on social media and where can people connect with you?

Fairly active; we all tend to burn out with it at different times, as most people do these days, but you can find us on Facebook and Instagram. Our Instagram is the more active of the two. We have a TikTok but always forget to update it 🤣
