Wildfire Festival Announces First Bands For 2018

Tonight we give you our first 20 names for 2018, and start with NWOBHM legends LIONHEART! Formed in 1980, this classic rock act consists of current and former members of Iron Maiden, MSG, UFO and Shy, with their combined performance sure to raise the roof on the weekend of 22-24 June. They will be joined by fan favourites – and making their first Wildfire headline performance – MASSIVE WAGONS. Here’s what Massive Wagons had to say about the announcement – “LOOK AT THAT!!!! Way back when, a fella called Dave Ritchie put on a brand new rock and metal festival in the heart of the Scottish countryside, Praying Mantis and Kyrbgrinder high up the bill, he gave a little band he’d never ever heard of a go on the word of their manager, at his spankin new event, he supported that band at every turn of their career, be that giving them gig slots, festival appearances, travelling the length and breadth of the country to watch them perform on tour, it’s truly been a monumental friendship, and now he’s asked us to headline his pride and joy, Wildfire Festival from start to right now he’s been by us, and mate it’ll be an absolute honour to headline your festival, BRING THIS ON!!!!! ONE IF NOT THE BEST UK ROCK/METAL FEST, GET YOUR TIX NOW!” From the Northwest through Wales and all the way to Italy 2018 sees a long awaited return for Falling Red, a debut for FLORENCE BLACK, and a first time Scottish festival appearance for Italian rockers DOBERMANN. Robb Wylde (Tigertailz) also makes a Wildfire debut with MIDNITE CITY. EMPYRE, THEIAuk and CAIRO SUN make a welcome return, and we are stoked to introduce you to Billy Taylor’s (Inglorious) latest project, DEEVER. We are not done yet! HELLBOUND HEARTS are back with a bang and alongside WITCH TRIPPER, RITUAL KING, WESTERN SAND, TOMORROW IS LOST, THE NEW BREED and TAROT RATS, we think we have something for everyone. But if you thought we had finished, we can get LOUDER STILL and we conclude with the first of many Scottish bands for 2018 with SAUZA KINGS. Our last few early bird/Christmas gift tickets are available at ridiculously cheap prices. We hope to have another update out in the next week or so, so watch this space and get your tickets today here.
