Ward XVI have released a new video for their song Imago, which features footage from Bloodstock open air 2021 and their sold-out album launch gig at Manchester Academy 3.
IMAGO was the first single released from their 2020 album metamorphosis, but as the release occurred midway through Covid Lockdown, it could only be accompanied by a lyric video, but now that they have completed their UK-wide album tour, Ward XVI have been able to showcase a live performance video that not only shows their scale of their theatrical stage show, but also celebrates their inmates who are integral to their show.
The video was put together by Forshaw media who have also filmed all of the theatrical videos to the other singles released from Metamorphosis, and now that they have completed the Metamorphosis UK tour, Ward XVI have begun writing the third and final instalment of their trilogy based upon the exploits of the female serial killer ‘Psychoberrie’.
IMAGO’ (ɪˈmeɪɡəʊ) noun: the final and fully developed adult stage of an insect, typically winged.
“Imago marks the coming of age for a young Psychoberrie as she come to a realisation. After being dealt a poor hand during childhood her innocence undergoes a malevolent transformation from a devout Christian to renouncing her faith, as God failed her in her desperate times of need. Psychoberrie now turns to Lucifer, burying her former innocent self she emerges powerful, determined and fueled by hatred, vowing to take on the work of the Devil himself…” Psychoberrie
