Boston based Intergalactic Death Metal band The Beast of Nod has collaborated with American composer and musician Super Hoop on chiptune reimaginations of music from their 2018 album Vampira: Disciple of Chaos. The Beast of Nod is currently hard at work recording their next album Multiversal which they plan to release later in 2020.
How did the collaboration with Super Hoop come about?
Super Hoop contacted us with an awesome chiptune version of PotRoast the Rhinoman and we loved it, so we ended up making a couple more.
How did you feel performing your first gig? And how was it?!
Gigs are fun, definitely miss playing gigs.
What should people expect when they check the band out? How would you describe yourself?
We’re an Intergalactic Death Metal band and this release is 3 of our songs reimagined as chiptune. So basically, we like tech-death and have seen Star Wars too many times.
The new music scene is bursting at the seams with fresh talent, in what ways do you feel that a band has to stand out from the others trying to build a name?
Just do your thing and have fun.
