Introducing: LifeCycle

LifeCycle is an Alt-Metal band based out of Jackson, NJ. Here’s the lowdown on what to expect when you check the band out.

What are the origins of the band, how long have you been playing together?

Formed from the ancient Greeks….oh wait….sorry. LifeCycle is celebrating it’s inaugural year! The formation of the band is quite odd. Scott (Bass) hired a singer. Singer then found Kevin and Joe (Guitars). Singer then found John (Drummer). We then fired the singer. John then found Asim Rizvi our lead singer. So glad it worked out for a bunch of different reasons.

How did you feel performing your first gig? And how was it?!

Natural. This band feels just right. Our first gig was in Philadelphia at the TLA. Its almost a home base for us. Great crowd and a lot of excitement all around. Plus whiskey.

What should people expect when they check the band out? How would you describe yourself?

Guitar driven, drum strong, melodic vocals! We are five musicians that know exactly how to play our instruments live. When you see LifeCycle live, its live. No backing tracks, no computers, no triggers.

The new music scene is bursting at the seams with fresh talent, in what ways do you feel that a band has to stand out from the others trying to build a name?

I think, to the point earlier, we aren’t fake. LifeCycle writes songs we can play live and we don’t rely on computers or backing tracks that aren’t live. To separate ourselves, we try and write the best songs possible that we love, and then we play the hell out of them live in a way that we feel comes across as genuine.

What are you working on at the minute that people can check out?

Our follow up single just dropped everywhere! Check out “Burnout” on your favourite app (Soundcloud – here). We are also proud of our YouTube channel where we constantly update our content. We have a YT series called “A Day in the LifeCycle”. Its a ridiculous look at the band off stage.

What band out there at the minute do you feel that you would be best suited to open for?

Ghost. Great band, great songwriting.

Who do you feel is the next band to break out?

What are your first musical memories? And what was the light bulb moment that made you go “I want to do that”?

KISS, Gene Simmons spitting blood. Doesn’t get much cooler than that.

What was the last gig that you attended as a fan?

Iron Maiden 2019. Legendary.

The album that you have in your album collection/Spotify playlist that would surprise most people?

Neil Diamond, “The Jazz Singer”.

What are your plans for 2020?

We constantly record. Our 2020 is mapped out with original content every 8 weeks. LifeCycle is keeping it fresh and new all year including our YT series. Check out Spotify, Apple Music etc for constant new music!

How active are you on social media and where can people connect with you?

@Lifecycleband is our social media account across ALL platforms. We just want to talk music and hang so please reach out to us and let’s catch up. If not, and you just want to see all of our links and content, then is your one stop shop!
