2. When did you decide to become a musician?
From an early age, I’ve always been surrounded by music. My parents started me on piano lessons (they played piano) when I was 11 but it was the guitar I really wanted to play. They were really supportive and realised how keen I was and bought me a guitar and I knew within days that I wanted to be a musician. I think it is was actually that I wanted to be a pop star, and I told my careers teaching so too!
3. How long have you been playing?
For over 40 years!!!
4. What three words would you use to describe the music you play?
Catchy, Melodic, Uplifting
5. What are your musical influences?
A real mix from Alice Cooper to Counting Crows from James Taylor to Ed Sheeran
6. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen during a show?
Wow, what a question. When I was first a professional musician in my 20s we shared the stage with strippers, magicians, and other acts so as you can imagine I saw some very interesting and sometimes eye-opening stuff!!!
7. Being away from the stages since last year, where is the one place you’d visit when the restrictions are lifted?
I’ll be quite happy just to play at my local venues again as a starter.
8. What’s the one record you own but wouldn’t ever admit to owning?
So I am admitting it here?? I may have an S Club 7 record (just saying!!)
9. What have you been listening to in the last few weeks?
A bit of Madeon and Counting Crows has been on the playlist recently.
10. Are there any releases you have planned in the near future?
I have a new single out now called ‘By My Side’. It’d be great if your readers fancy checking it out and let me know what they think.
