Departed: ‘Michael Schenker Fest’ And New Single.

th July Departed celebrate what rock and roll is all about – powerful lead vocals, soaring guitars and a thundering rhythm section. The dynamic 4-piece represent the new generation of rock bands paving the way for British rock – relentlessly working to keep rock and roll alive. The band are sonic architects of modern music, where energy meets melody, and rock meets roll. The band recently released their critically acclaimed self-titled debut mini album. Hailed by Classic Rock and Powerplay, the mini album features guitarist Ben Brookland (ex-Treatment), with lead vocals and bass guitar from Mark Pascall, and special guest drummer Chris Rivers Nuttall (Heaven’s Basement). It was mixed by Jonny Rocker (Heavens Basement), and mastered by Ade Emsley (Iron Maiden). Over the past 12 months Departed have travelled thousands of miles supporting the likes of Status Quo, Big Country, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, Chuck Mosley (Faith No More), and the Graham Bonnet Band, and have also played many festivals including Hard Rock Hell. Departed originally formed in 2014 when their chief songwriters, lead singer Mark Pascall (former lead singer and bass guitarist for Empire of Fools) and Ben Brookland (former lead guitarist for The Treatment), began writing together. The current line-up, which includes Howie Spring (bass) and Connor Spring (drums), became permanent in March 2016. “Touring with Schenker is an incredible opportunity for DEPARTED,” says lead singer Mark Pascall. “Schenker’s is a legendary figure in rock n roll. He is a significant part of rock history. It will also be great to see Graham Bonnet again, as we opened for him in Bristol last year. The Michael Schenker Fest tour is going to be a memorable and proud time for the band.”   “Michael Schenker Fest” November 2017 UK Tour   O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London Thursday 2 November 2017 Book Online: Ticketweb   O2 Academy Sheffield Friday 3 November 2017 Book Online: Ticketmaster   O2 Ritz, Manchester Saturday 4 November 2017 Book Online: Ticketmaster   Hull City Hall Sunday 5 November 2017 Book Online: Hull Theatres   Also in November, Departed will be special guests to Big Country in Cardiff The Globe, Cardiff Saturday 25 November 2017
