Their long-awaited album, Look Into The Black Mirror, awarded with the prestigious D6cibels Music Award in the category “Rock & Alternative”, met with enthusiastic reviews and warm reception of both media and fans themselves, captivated by the bewitching atmosphere and undeniable vintage charm of BLACK MIRRORS. Now, after releasing the acoustic version of “Günther Kimmich”, the time has come for the Belgian collective to unleash the mesmerizing power of their subtle, yet highly expressive sound once again in the elegant audiovisual for the bonus track, “Whispering Ghost”.
The quiet, almost quivering aura of the song highlights both the lyrics, impressive in their simplicity and southern spirit, and the irrefutable master status BLACK MIRRORS hold in creation of intriguing and hypnotizing soundscapes, able to persuade even the connoisseurs of the genre!
Singer Marcella states: “The concept behind “Whispering Ghost” goes a bit deeper lyrically as it tells my story about someone very dear to me passing away. We wanted the song to sound like a farewell. Now, every time the audience is singing the melody with us, it feels like a nice goodbye and a tribute to my 19 year old friend who’s sailing away. The vocals on this version go deeper than the original version and we’re very happy with the result.”
BLACK MIRRORS will heavily tour Europe in 2020! Their performance at By:Larm Festival in Oslo marks the third showcase festival appearance in six months, after Reeperbahn Festival and ESNS in 2019, before hitting the road with alternative rock phenomena The Picturebooks, to later make appearance on multiple festivals, such as Brussels Summer Festival in August.
